DÍLI (30 November 2022) ---- The President of the Board of Directors of the Administration Ports of Timor-Leste, Public Institute (APORTIL, I.P) Dr. Lamartinho de Oliveira, accompanied by the Advisor and Director of Operations and Port Management, Mr. Rolando Gaspar met with the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) team to coordinate the U.S. military ship visits to Timor-Leste for a U.S. military event.

At the meeting, the NCIS team informed to APORTIL that the U.S Naval Criminal Investigative services (NCIS) in the end of November 2022 to conduct a regular survey of Timor Leste is Port and Airports for continued U.S. Military aircrafts and ship visits to Timor Leste in conjunctionwith U.S- T.L bilateral military exercise and humanitarian assistance activities troughout Timor Leste where it involves ship and aircrafts.

The scope of this survey is to meet and tour the Dili port area as well as asking relevant question to port management, harbor master security and operations as part of routine assessments for U.S Military events.

The team included Dwain Pemberton, Greg McGlaughlin, Captain Bernard Cortes and Eugenio Marcal.
